Jason is a goal-focused e-commerce and digital marketing leader with 20+ years of proven experience in transforming digital landscapes to achieve defined targets within fast-paced, challenging business environments.
Jason has a record of orchestrating end-to-end e-commerce initiatives for customer engagement. He is recognized for pioneering innovative and data-driven digital marketing campaigns to boost brand visibility, optimize customer acquisition, and elevate online conversion rates. He is a respected and supportive servant-leader who understands how to identify and retain talent while removing pain points and barriers for others.
Jason is a self-directed, flexible, and fast learner with an excellent sense of humor; capable of growing team members’ confidence, competency, and value. He demonstrated excellence in developing and executing strategic initiatives that elevate brands and maximize revenue streams.
Earlier in his career, Jason joined Under Armour. In 2011, he started as a Senior Manager of Digital Marketing with Skullcandy, where he led a team for email marketing, CRM, BI and analytics, SEO/SEM, paid social, display, affiliate marketing, and Amazon advertising. Jason spearheaded the P&L of online channels by overseeing $25M in annual revenues for Skullcandy.com and AstroGaming.com, with marketing budgets ranging from $1M-$3M.
In 2015 at Event Network, he played a pivotal role in overseeing 90+ distinct product/souvenir websites for key partners, including the National Museum of the Marine Corps, the National Museum of the U.S. Army, the American Museum of Natural History, and the Henry Ford Museum by steering profit and loss functions of e-commerce solutions. Here, he drove the transition from digital marketing to e-commerce operations, showcasing a strategic career move to diversify skill sets and prepare for career progression and leadership advancement.
From 2019 to 2022, Jason served as a Vice President, Ecommerce at Cariloha. In this position, he was instrumental in improving revenue potential by 150% ($14M-$35M), across various online channels, including the direct-to-consumer website, Amazon, and eTail dropship platforms, such as Costco, Target, and Wayfair, while successfully elevating the online channel's contribution to the overall company revenue from 23% to 47% and maintaining healthy profitability.
Jason has acted as the VP of Ecommerce across multiple startups, including Baliston, Cratejoy, and Brydge, navigating the complexities of limited cash reserves and fundraising challenges. He specializes in developing tailored e-commerce strategies aligned with client needs, meticulously identifying target markets, competitive landscapes, and key performance indicators.
Jason has completed his Bachelor of Commerce in Marketing from Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada. He possesses technical proficiencies in MS Excel, Google Ads, Facebook Business Manager, Pinterest Ads, Google Tag Manager, Google Search Console, Notion, Agile Development, Shopify, Big Commerce, Magento, Google Analytics 4, Klaviyo, BlueCore, and Braze.
